The grand inauguration of the Coimbatore Vizha is all set to take place at the Brookefields Mall at 5 pm, today. The 9th edition of the Coimbatore Vizha is powered by Young Indians (Yi), Coimbatore Chapter in association with various corporate and individual sponsors.
Actor Sreekanth will be the chief guest for the event. The organizers of the event have notified that the event is scheduled to begin at 5 pm.
At 5:30 pm, the event will start off with the launch of 'Kovai Vizha Paatu' followed by the Mascot inviting the special guest.
A video presentation of Yi Coimbatore Chapter's social welfare projects like Project 'Masoom' which is aimed at creating awareness about Child abuse, Project 'Gift an organ' which is aimed at creating awareness on Organ donation, Project 'Horn Not Okay Please' which aims at create awareness on unnecessary honking, Project 'Swachh Bharat' aimed at doing awareness on cleanliness will be screened to the audience.
Following which, felicitations to people who have contributed to the upliftment of the society will take place. Actor Sreekanth will then address the gathering along with an interaction session.
