68th Republic Day programme was conducted at Sri Krishna Institutions, Coimbatore. Dr.K.Sundararaman, CEO of Sri Krishna Institutions hoisted the National Flag at Sri Krishna Arts and Science College (SKASC), Kuniamuthur and addressed the republic day speech.
He said that 'Today is a day, we have to respect our constitution and give importance to the purposes of constitution, the preamble, all provisions, parts and articles mentioned in our Indian Constitution. He also said that as citizens of India, we have to give first priority to our democratic principles. We should always give importance to our national integration and security. We should salute the freedom fighters in this day and always follow their principles for national integration and development."
The students of the college took a pledge mentioning about the importance of Indian Constitution, democratic principles, importance of National integration, maintaining national heritages and monuments, following integrity, respecting National Flag and anthem etc.
The NSS and NCC students of the college conducted a street play about the importance of freedom struggle and also about slavery systems prevailed before independence. Few department students today celebrated the day with orphan children and old age people at different NGO’s.
Sri Krishna College of Technology, Kovaipudur planted the tree saplings to mark this day. Sri Krishna College of Engineering and Technology conducted various cultural activities and competitions for the students in this day occasion.
Dr.K.Sundararaman, CEO of Sri Krishna Institutions, Principals Dr.J.Janet, Dr. A.Ramesh, Dr.P.Babagnanakumar, Dr.V.Radika, Professors and students took part in the programme.
