Post the historic Jallikattu protests, commercial establishments, hoteliers, educational institutions have pledged to ban sale of coke and pepsi products at their premise. This ban of coke and pepsi is gaining momentum throughout the state of Tamil Nadu.
Here, in the city of Coimbatore, VLB Janakiammal College of Arts and Science have joined the pledge too. Speaking on this ban, Jaishree, Principal stated that ' “We are pleased to note your awareness about imported soft drinks and we are very happy to oblige. Soft drinks of foreign origin will not be served from today on wards. Instead we will be serving fresh juices.” Students and staff of this college have also registered their support and appreciations to the management for their thoughtful decision.
