Online applications invited for govt skill-based training

Coimbatore: For the academic year, applications for enrolling in government skill based training can be done through online, from May 3 onwards, a release said.

Coimbatore: For the academic year, applications for enrolling in government skill based training can be done through online, from May 3 onwards, a release said. 

Admissions for 1 year, 2-year courses for both genders (male/female) are conducted for Electrician, MMV, Fitter, Turner, Machinist, Machinist Grinder, R & A/C, Copa, Wireman, Welder, ICTSM, IM, MMTM, COE, Pattern Maker, PPO, Sheet Metal Worker, Mechatronics, Electronic Mechanic, Food Production and Digital Photographer. 

Those who wish to enrol should apply to through online at www.skilltraining.tn.gov.in before May 31, 5 pm. For the applicants who are unable to do online, necessary support to apply online will be given.

Eligiblity and training details: 

* Education qualification - Trainees should have passed 8th and 10th grade for industrial training.

* Training program will happen, free of cost

* Free bus pass will be provided for all trainees

* Attendance based scholarships will be provided. 

* Trainees will be provided with uniforms, slippers and graph tools, free of cost

* Free bicycle and laptop will be provided by the Government to the trainees as per their competence

* NIMI book will be provided by the government to all trainees free of cost

* Free hostel facility along with food will be provided for BC, MBC, SC and ST trainees.

* Age limit – 14 to 40 for male. No age limit for female. 

* Trainees, who complete training in this institute, will be assured jobs in private companies through campus interview.
