Police dept invites ex-servicemen, retired police and forest officials for election duty

Coimbatore: With the 2019 Parliamentary elections nearing, the police department are gearing up to tighten the law and order in the district and also allocate resources for election duty.


Coimbatore: With the 2019 Parliamentary elections nearing, the police department are gearing up to tighten the law and order in the district and also allocate resources for election duty. 

A release from the department has invited applications from ex-servicemen, retired police officials, retired forest officers and from fire and rescue department for joining the election duty force. 

These members of auxiliary force will be used on April 17, the day before the polling and on April 18, the polling date. 

And, remuneration for the two days would be paid accordingly, added the communique.
