Thanthai Periyar Award nominations invited - Coimbatore district administration

The Coimbatore district administration has announced that it has invited nominations for the Thanthai Periyar Award, which is given annually to those who worked for social justice. Eligible candidates can apply to the District Collector along with their details by August 15, 2023.



Coimbatore: The Coimbatore district administration has announced that it has invited nominations for the Thanthai Periyar Award.

A statement issued by the district administration said,

The Thanthai Periyar Award for Social Justice has been awarded since 1995 to honour those who work for social justice. The awardees will receive an award of Rs 5 lakh, a sovereign gold medal and a citation.

The awardee is selected by the Chief Minister. Recommendations are invited to select the suitable awardees for the Thanthai Periyar Award for Social Justice by the Government of Tamil Nadu for the year 2023.

Therefore, those who are qualified for the work done to improve the quality of life of the public by working for social justice and the achievements made in this regard can apply to the District Collector with their details.

This should include your application, profile, full address, phone number and details of the work done for social justice and documents. Applications should reach the district collector by August 15.
