NMR train service suspended after tree falls on Railway track between Lovedale –Ketti

While works have been expedited to remove the tree and clear the track, the special passenger train service between Coonoor – Ooty, scheduled to leave Coonoor at 07.45 hrs and Ooty – Coonoor scheduled to leave Ooty at 09.15 hrs has been cancelled.



Nilgiris: Railway service has been disrupted between Coonoor – Udagamandalam after a tree uprooted and fell across the railway line between Ketti – Lovedale railway stations, obstructing the movement of trains.

While works have been expedited to remove the tree and clear the track, in view of this, a pair of train services has been cancelled, a release from Salem division noted.



1.Train No.06141 Coonoor – Udagamandalam Passenger Special Train, scheduled to leave Coonoor at 07.45 hrs, has been cancelled.

2 Train No.06139 Udagamandalam – Coonoor Passenger Special Train, scheduled to leave Udagamandalam at 09.15 hrs, has been cancelled.
