Ministry of Home Affairs announces Sep.15 as last date for public nominations for Central Govt.'s Padma Award

The Central Government's Padma Awards are presented to those who excel in various fields including education, arts and science. Public can register their nomination for Padma Awards on the website www.awards.gov.in by September 15.



Delhi: The Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan and Padma Shri awards have been presented to deserving individuals in India since 1954.

The Padma awards are presented annually by the Central Government to those who excel in various fields including education, art, science, sports, literature, medicine, social service and industry.

In a statement issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs, the public have been invited to nominate deserving individuals for the Padma Awards for the year 2023. The nominations can be filed on the Central Government's www.awards.gov.in website till September 15.

Eligible candidates will be selected and announced on January 26, 2023 on the occasion of the Republic Day when the President of India will confer the awards.
