Action will be taken in case of production and sale of substandard cement; District Collector

All types of cement certified under the Standards Code (ISI) certification issued by the Government of India are permitted to be manufactured and sold. The General Manager of the District Business Center is empowered to take legal action against those manufactured and sold without a code.


Coimbatore: Coimbatore district collector Sameeran has said that legal action will be taken if substandard cement is produced and sold in the district.

He said in a statement, "All types of cement certified under the Standards Code (ISI) certification issued by the Government of India are permitted to be manufactured and sold. The General Manager of the District Business Center is empowered to take legal action against those manufactured and sold cement without that code.

According to the order, legal action will be taken against companies manufacturing and selling non-certified cement products in Coimbatore district.
