Coimbatore: The special weekly express train between Assam- Trivandrum will pass through Coimbatore starting January next year.

The Salem Divisional Railways issued a press release stating,

The weekly express special train 056651 between Kamakhya-Kochuveli (Thiruvananthapuram) in Assam will leave from Kamakhya railway station at 7.40 am on January 6, 13 in 2022 and reach Kochuveli at 7.15 am on January 1, 8 and 15.

Similarly, the weekly express special train no. 05670 between Kochuveli and Kamakhya will leave Kochuveli railway station at 8 pm on January 2, 9 and 16 and reach Kamakhya at 8.40 am on January 5, 12 and 19.

The trains will halt at stations including Coimbatore, Katpadi, Salem, Erode, Tirupur, Palakkad, Thrissur, Aluva, Ernakulam, Kottayam Punalur, Kollam railway stations.
