Salem Railways cancels trains due to heavy rain in Coimbatore

The Salem Divisional railways department has announced that trains are cancelled due to heavy rains in Coimbatore.


Coimbatore: Salem Divisional Railway division has announced the cancellation of trains due to heavy rains and floods in Coimbatore.

The cyclone has caused floods in various parts of Andhra Pradesh and the railway tracks are flooded in the south-central railway areas.

The Nagercoil-Bengaluru (Train No: 17236) express starting from Nagercoil today was cancelled. Similarly, the express train (Train No: 22670) from Patna to Ernakulam via Jolarpet, Salem, Erode, Tirupur, and Coimbatore has been cancelled.

Due to rain, the Kerala Express train to Trivandrum from Delhi via Jolarpet, Salem, Erode, Tirupur, and Coimbatore has also been cancelled, announced the Southern Railways.
