7th phase of mass vaccine drive to be held on Oct. 30 in Coimbatore

The 7th phase of the Mega Vaccine Camp has been organized at 266 venues in Coimbatore.


Coimbatore: The seventh phase of the Mega Vaccination Camp against Covid-19 will be held on Saturday, October 30, at 266 campsites in Coimbatore.

As per the orders of the state government, the seventh phase of the mass vaccine drive will begin at 7 am on Saturday, October 30, in Coimbatore. 266 camps have been organized throughout the city to benefit the public. 90 percent of the people have been inoculated with the first dose and over 2,00,000 people are eligible for the second dose. Studies state that two doses of the vaccine decreases the infection rate.

The Coimbatore City Municipal Corporation Commissioner and Special Officer, Raja Gopal Sunkara urged the public to make use of the camps. "The time gap between two doses of Covishield is 84 days and Covaxin is 28 days. Eligible beneficiaries can visit the camp and get their due doses of vaccine," stated the CCMC Commissioner.
