Electricity Board announces areas that will experience power outage on Thursday, October 21, in Coimbatore

The Electricity Board has released the details of the areas in Coimbatore that will experience power outages on October 21, Thursday.


Coimbatore: In a statement the Electricity Board has made official the details of the areas in Coimbatore that will experience power outages on Thursday.

On a rotation basis, areas in the Coimbatore district, experience disruption in power once a month due to routine maintenance work. Based on this, there will be no power supply in the following areas from 9 am to 2 pm on Thursday the 21th. Here’s the list of areas which are slated to experience disruption in power.

Areas subject to Race Course substation

Thomas Park, Kamaraj Road, Race Course, Avinashi Road (From Anna Statue to Collector's Office) Trichy Road (From Kannan Department to Alvernia School) Puliyakulam Road (From Sungam to Vinayagar Temple), Ramanathapuram 80ft Road, Sreepathy Nagar, Susila Nagar, Rukmini Nagar, Bharathi Nagar 1 to 6. Papammal Lay Out, Park Town, Karunanidhi Nagar, Angannan Road, Krishnasamy Nagar, Thiruvalluvar Nagar, Pankaja Mill Road, Balaji Nagar, Kongu Nagar.

Areas under Kallimadai substation

Kamaraj Road, Bharathi Nagar, Sakthi Nagar, Jothi Nagar, Ramanujam Nagar, Neelikonampalayam, Krishnapuram, Singanallur, GV Residency, Uppilipalayam. Indira Nagar, Balan Nagar, Sarkarai Chettiar Nagar, NGR Nagar, From Hope College to Airport, Varadarajapuram, Nanda Nagar, Housing Unit, Ondiputhur (Part) Masakalipalayam, Medical College Road.
