Coimbatore District Collector G S Sameeran has announced hat E-pass is mandatory for vehicles coming from Kerala to Coimbatore district


Coimbatore: District Collector G S Sameeran announced that E-pass is mandatory for vehicles entering Coimbatore district from the state of Kerala.

Following this, 13 check posts have been set up along the Kerala border in Coimbatore district and are being closely monitored. A team of Police, Revenue and Health officials led and an intensive investigation of different areas that are at the edge of the Tamil Nadu-Kerala border.

Intensive vehicle checks are being carried out at two check posts at Walayar, Velanthavalam, Pollachi, Coimbatore and all other major check posts at Valparai, Anaikatti and Anaimalai. Both E-pass and body temperature of travellers are being checked on travellers.
