10 Toyota Innova car ambulances being made available for Covid-19 patients across five zones in the city


Coimbatore: The Covid-19 pandemic in Coimbatore district is reportedly under control with the number of patients succumbing to the virus having declined in the past four days. Steps have been taken by the local administration to reduce casualties further by requesting the public to strictly adhere to Covid preventive measures.

1) People under the age of 45, who are suffering from Covid infection are undergoing treatment at home in isolation. Doctors treat these patients in their own homes with out them having to step out.

2) People over the age of 45 are requested to use the Triage Centers operated by the Corporation in case of being confirmed as a Covid case. For this purpose, 10 car ambulances (TOYOTA INNOVA) have been allotted to five zones by the Coimbatore Corporation for those confirmed with the Covid infection. These patients are being contacted by the Corporation immediately by telephone and taken by the Innova ambulance for a medical examination.

Also, those who have been confirmed to have the Covid infection are requested to call 97505 54321 and 0422-2302323 if they need to avail car ambulances immediately. Those who have been confirmed to have contracted the infection have been requested to not travel in public vehicles or two wheelers.
