'Written test for Indian Army recruitment postponed indefinitely,' says Coimbatore District Collector Nagarajan

The general entrance examination for the eligible candidates was earlier scheduled to be held on April 25th at the Nehru Stadium in Coimbatore.


Coimbatore: Coimbatore District Collector Nagarajan today announced that the written test for Indian Army recruitment will be postponed to another date.

The Army Recruitment Officials had conducted a recruitment camp for aspirants from the 11 districts namely The Nilgiris, Erode, Krishnagiri, Dharmapuri, Salem, Namakkal, Dindigul, Madurai, Theni, Tirupur and Coimbatore last January. The general entrance examination for the eligible candidates was scheduled to be held on April 25th at the Nehru Stadium in Coimbatore.

In a statement today he said, "Due to the Covid-19 pandemic condition in Coimbatore, The Recruitment Director of the Coimbatore Army Recruitment Office has announced that the general entrance examination for the army recruitment will be postponed indefinitely. Therefore the Hall ticket already issued for the entrance examination is cancelled."

Collector also said that the new date for the general entrance examination will be announced later. "Hall Tickets for the event can be obtained at the Coimbatore Army Recruitment Office or through the Indian Army website after the announcement of the new date."

The statement also mentioned that the candidates who are appearing for the examination are hereby informed to visit the website of the Indian Army for the announcement of the new date for the General Entrance Examination for Army Recruitment.
