Collector and Commissioner shifted ahead of elections: ADGP Davidson Devasirvatham takes charge as Coimbatore Commissioner of Police

Coimbatore: Upon directives from the Election Commissioner, the Tamil Nadu government has removed Coimbatore Returning Officer/Collector K. Rajamani and Police Commissioner Sumit Saran to “non-election post.”


Coimbatore: Upon directives from the Election Commissioner, the Tamil Nadu government has removed Coimbatore Returning Officer/Collector K. Rajamani and Police Commissioner Sumit Saran to “non-election post.”

The move come after inputs received by the Election Commission to immediately change the officials.

Additional Director General of Police S. Davidson Devasirvatham was posted as the Commissioner of Police, and S. Nagarajan was posted as the new Returning Officer/Collector.
