Coimbatore: Election Officer for Coimbatore District has announced that around 12,576 people so far have requested to add their names to the voter's list.

They further stated that "Individuals above the age of 18 can request their names to be added to the voter's list till March 19th. People who come after that will not be added to the voters list for the upcoming assembly elections.

So far 12,576 people have requested their names to be added to the list both online and offline in Coimbatore District. So far 8,000 people's applications have been accepted and the remaining people's details are to be verified. Application which qualify to the norms will be accepted."
