Coimbatore Metro Rail project: Detailed Feasibility report ready; first phase will cover 44 km - Deputy CM during budget session


The first phase of Coimbatore Metro RailProject would cover 44 km, Deputy CM O. Panneerselvam said, while presenting the interim budget.

Deputy Chief Minister O. Panneerselvam, who presented the interim budget, on Tuesday said a detailed feasibility report (DFR) for for the Coimbatore metro rail project at a cost of Rs. 6,683 crore has been prepared and is under scrutiny.

He added that the first phase of the project would cover 44 kms and work would commence, following the examination of the DFR.
