Coimbatore: February 6th is the last date to apply for Nari Shakti Puraskar by President of India for women.
According to a press release issued by the Union Ministry of Women and Child Development, the President has conferred the highest award on women on the occasion of International Women's Day, March 8. The award is given to those who have excelled in various fields, including science, technology, sports, arts and culture, in promoting women in decision-making, promoting women's talents, providing rural infrastructure.
2 lakh cash will also be given. Individuals with at least 25 years of age can apply through companies that have worked for 5 years in the relevant field. The deadline to apply has been extended to the 6th. Details can be found at http://narishaktipuraskar.wcd.gov.in/.
