200 buses for Pongal: Temporary bus stand in CODISSIA

Tamilnadu government has added 200 special buses to the regular service.


Coimbatore: Transport corporation of Tamilnadu initiates 200 special bus services from Coimbatore to other districts with the onset of Pongal festival.

An announcement made by the director of Tamilnadu Government Transport Corporation said that, “With Pongal celebrations to happen next week the government has decided to open a temporary bus stand at CODISSIA complex to avoid traffic and crowding near Singanallur bus stand.

This temporary bus stand functions from 12th of January to 14th of January. Regular buses along with the 200 new special buses to Salem, Trichy and other places on that route will be operated from CODISSIA.

Mandatory facilities for travellers like waiting areas, washrooms, drinking water supply and electric lights are already made.

Local bus transport facilities has been arranged for people to reach CODISSIA.
