Corporation officials locked 2 shops that skipped paying rent for 6 months


Coimbatore: Corporation officials locked 2 shops that skipped paying rent for 6 months. The two shops,Cooking Gas Cylinder Station at Arogyasamy Road, Coimbatore West Zone and the Gymnasium at the Corporation Commercial Complex on Thadagam Road, have been operating without paying rent to the Corporation for 6 months.

On the orders of the Corporation Commissioner Kumaravel Pandian, the Corporation officials led by the West Zone Assistant Commissioner Senthil Arasan locked the two shops.

A corporation official said, "The two shops were operating without paying rent and the rent was deducted from their deposit in the corporation. As the deposit has been deducted in full, now these shops have been locked up."
