TNAU weather department predicts more rainfall across Coimbatore district tomorrow

This North East monsoon started around October last year and is still continuing. An annual rainfall of 315mm is expected this year from the North East monsoons.


Coimbatore: Many areas within the Coimbatore district have been receiving a good amount of rainfall for the last two days and the TNAU has now predicted that the showers may continue further.

Places in Coimbatore including Ukkadam, Gandhipuram, Sundarapuram, Thudiyalur, Kavundampalayam, Periyanaickenpalayam, Peelamedu, Singanallur, Townhall, Selvapuram and Sungam received gentle drizzle for the last two days causing more reduction in temperature.

Tamilnadu Agricultural University Weather Research Department Head Ramanathan said that "Coimbatore has been recently receiving showers from the North East monsoon in Coimbatore. This monsoon which hasn't ended is expected to continue raining tomorrow."
