Coimbatore: Auction of confiscated vehicles from those involved in criminal cases held in Coimbatore.

The vehicles of those arrested for involvement in criminal cases will be confiscated. The police have decided to auction them off and it included 10 four-wheelers, 2 three-wheelers seized by the Coimbatore District Prohibition Enforcement Division police on AlcoholProhibition offenses. A total of 72 two-wheelers and 84 vehicles will be auctioned on January 7th at the Coimbatore District Armed Forces Grounds.

The vehicles to be auctioned are parked at the Prohibition Enforcement Division offices at Pollachi and Alcohol Prohibition Enforcement Division at Kovilpalayam and at the Karamadai, Madukkarai, Aliyar and Anaimalai police stations. Those wishing to bid on the vehicles can visit until 5pm on January 6th. In a press release by the Police Superintendent's Office, the vehicles can be obtained by paying the full amount and GST in cash to the government once the auction is over.
