Coimbatore: The first weekly special train between Silchar and Thiruvananthapuram will run via Coimbatore from today.

A special weekly special train will run from Silchar station in Assam to Thiruvananthapuram from today. While returning, the train will leave Silchar at 8 pm on Thursdays and reach Guwahati, Bhubaneswar, Vijayawada, Perambur, Jolarpettai, Salem and Coimbatore at 8.45 pm on the fourth day.

While returning, the train will leave Thiruvananthapuram Central at 4.55 pm on Tuesdays from April 17 and reach Silchar at 4.40 pm on the fourth day. Along with this is one of two-tier AC class compartments, 4 three-tier AC class, 13 Sleeper class boxes, Southern Railway said the two second-class general compartments will be connected.
