Friends of Police organisation dissolved in Tamilnadu

In a letter addressed to the Director General of police, the TN AdditionalChief Secretary SK Prabhakar has stated that the controversial organization, Friends of Police is henceforth rescinded in the State of Tamil Nadu.

There were allegations from several quarters that Friends of Police organization has allegiance to politico-religious outfits such RSS.

Citing that police who are designated to work for all sects of the society cannot be connected to an association with religious affiliations, Friends of Police have been rescinded by the government of Tamil Nadu.
