Rajdhani AC special train service resumes between Chennai and Delhi, twice a week

Train service between Delhi and Chennai is set to resume shortly. Special Rajdhani AC trains will be operated between Delhi and Chennai. While the train service from Delhi commences on May 21, it will begin from Chennai on May 23.


Chennai: Train service between Delhi and Chennai is set to resume shortly. Special Rajdhani AC trains will be operated between Delhi and Chennai.While the train service from Delhi commences on May 21, it will begin from Chennai on May 23. The train will leave Chennai on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 6.35 AM and will reach Delhi the next day at 10.30 AM.

On the other end trains from Delhi will leave on Mondays and Thursdays at 4 PM and will reach Chennai Central at 8.40 PM the next days.

This special train will stop at restricted stations including Vijayawada, Warangal, Nagpur, Bhopal, Jhansi and Agra.

The exist fare for regular Rajdhani AC trains will be in effect. The following norms will have to be followed by the passengers who opt to travel in these trains.

1. All passengers must wear face masks.

2. Those with COVID-19 infection will not be permitted to travel.

3. Only reservants will be allowed to enter the railway station.

4. Those who arrive at Chennai via these trains will be isolated for 14 days after their arrival.
