SMART City survey: Corporation Commissioner urges public to participate in the habitability survey

Coimbatore: Corporation Commissioner said that opinions of the public will be taken into account on the ranking of smart city project across the nation by the Central government.


Coimbatore: Corporation Commissioner said that opinions of the public will be taken into account on the ranking of smart city project across the nation by the Central government. 

Corporation Commissioner Sravan Kumar Jadavat said, "The Central Government will conduct a nationwide online survey in the Coimbatore Corporation under the Smart City Plan. Its purpose is to rank cities in India according to their habitability. A livelihood survey is being done online.

The list of cities in the country to that is most comfortable to live in is to ranked based on the views expressed by the general public in the online survey. So, by participating in a public online survey, you can register your opinion about living in Coimbatore. This enables the people of Coimbatore to record their views on status of living, infrastructure, law and order, pollution, transport and other amenities.

In addition, the public can participate in the People's Livelihood Survey via the Lifestyle Index or via our website at http://eol2019.org/citizenfeedback from February 1st to February 29th. With the increased participation of the public in the poll, Coimbatore can be ranked higher in the rankings list. 

"This is a great opportunity for the public to be proud of our city," said Sravan Kumar Jadavat, Corporation Commissioner and Special Officer.
