Coimbatore: To improve the socio economic status of the SC/ST people, the Tamil Nadu Adi Dravidar Housing and Development Corporation Limited (TAHDCO) provides loans at subsidised bank loans. The District Collector through a release has stated that applications are invited from Adi dravidar, SC/ST people for securing housing and other loans through TAHDCO.

Eligible candidates can apply online through the following sites:

Documents required
(1) Community Certificate
(2) Income Proof (minimum annual income of Rs. 100,000 / -)
(3) Family card or address proof
(4) Aadhaar Identity Card.
(5) Voter ID card
(6) Passport size photo
(7) Project Report
(8) The quotation for starting business. And, the location of the business should be within the district of Coimbatore. The owner we should have obtained GST number while submitting quotation.
The applicants will be interviewed through TAHDCO and the selected applications will be forwarded to their preferred banks for crediting their sanctioned loan amount. If the bank is willing to lend, then TAHDCO will release a front end subsidy, the release said.
And, 30% subsidy will be granted for every one lakh to those belonging to the Adidravidar community (Maximum subsidy is Rs. 2,25,000 / -) 50% subsidy will be given for every lakh to the scheduled tribal community. (Maximum subsidy is Rs. 3,75,000 / -)

District Governor's Discretionary Fund Scheme - Under this scheme, the following persons can avail a maximum of Rs. 20,000 (no age limit / educational / income limits).
- Orphaned Widows / Women Abandoned by Husband
- People with physical disabilities / AIDS.
- Victims of violence
Entrepreneur Development Programme- EDP
- Age 18 - 65 - No Education required.
- Amount of scheme should be above Rs. 1,50,000 / -
Self Employment Programme for Youth - SEPY
- Age 18 - 45 - No Education required.
- Amount of scheme should be above Rs. 1,50,000 / -
Self Employment Programme for Youth — SEPY-Clinic
- Ages 18 - 35
- Amount of scheme should be above Rs. 1,50,000 / -
- Academic Medicine / Dentistry / Disinfection, / Blood Testing.
- Must have registered with the Medical Council of India.
RF & Economic - Assistance for SHG
- Must have at least 12 members.
- Age 18 - 65 - No Education required.
- Up to Rs.75,000 / - with a subsidy of Rs. After grading twice, a loan of up to Rs.
- An annual income of Rs. Should be under Rs. 200,000 / -.
50,000 / - will be provided free of charge to start a chartered accountant/lawyer.
If adi dravidar, SC/ST gets through First Level Examination of civil services exam, they will be given a cash reward of Rs. 50,000/-.
