Coimbatore : Eligible farmers are invited to apply for the financial assistance and benefits under the CM's Farmers' Protection Scheme 2011.
According to the press release issued by the Tamilnadu Government, the scheme extends benefits for farmer's family which include marriage fund, educational financial assistance to pursue Diploma, ITI, under graduation, post-graduation, teacher's training, engineering, law and medicine.
Along with this accident/health insurance and pension amount of Rs. 1000 for farmers over 60 years have also been extended under the scheme.
All small and marginal farmers with less than 2.5 acres of wetland or under 5 acres of drylands are eligible to apply for benefits under this scheme.
Farmers are asked to apply at the VAO or Tahsildar officer in their respective villages and towns. Farmers are also directed to approach the Divisional Revenue Officer in the District Collectorate, Social Welfare Scheme Department for more details.
