TAMCO organises special loan camp for the minorities

TAMIL NADU MINORITIES ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION LIMITED (TAMCO) has been organizing various welfare schemes including personal loans, self-help group loan and education loan to the minorities. 

The special camp for loans will be held between 11 am to 2 pm at Coimbatore South Thasildhar office on August 16. The camp will be held in other places in the following schedule: Mettupalayam on August 21; Annur on August 28; Sulur on September 4; Madukarai on September 12; Perur on September 18; Kinathukadavu on September 25; Pollachi on October 10; Anaimalai on October 16 and at Valaparai on October 23.

Those families living in urban areas with an annual income under Rs. 1,20,000 and those with income under Rs. 98,000 rural areas can apply for the loan under Scheme 1. Under Scheme 2, those families with annual income under Rs. 6,00,000 can apply. 

The interest rates for the personal loan under Scheme 1 is 6% and the interest rate under scheme 2 is 8% for men and 6% for women. Under self-help group scheme, Rs. 50,000 will be approved at 7% interest. 

Education loan for minority students in government recognized institutes are Rs. 20,00,000 under scheme 1 and Rs. 30,00,000 under scheme 2 with a rate of interest of 3%.

Hence, all eligible minorities including Christians, Muslims, Sikhs, Buddhists, Parsi and Jains are invited to submit their duly filled in applications.

Supporting documents like community certificate, Aadhar, address proof, income details and other required documents as requested by the Co-operative banks should be submitted. Those who apply for education loans are requested to submit their bonafide certificate, receipts of the fee payment and their mark sheets.
