Coimbatore Junction Yard Maintenance: MEMU, Express Trains to Face Changes on Oct 3, 4

Coimbatore: Several train services will undergo changes on October 3 and 4 due to track maintenance engineering works being carried out at the Coimbatore Junction Railway Yard, according to the Salem Division of Southern Railway.
On October 3, Train No. 66615 Mettupalayam-Podanur MEMU, scheduled to depart Mettupalayam at 1.05 pm, will be short terminated at Coimbatore North Railway Station. The train will operate only from Mettupalayam to Coimbatore North and will not run between Coimbatore North and Podanur Junction on that day.
Train No. 66616 Podanur-Mettupalayam MEMU, scheduled to depart Podanur Junction at 3.30 pm, will instead originate from Coimbatore North Railway Station at 3.52 pm on October 3. The service will not operate from Podanur Junction to Coimbatore North and will run from Coimbatore North to Mettupalayam.
On October 4, six express trains will operate on diverted routes and will skip their scheduled stoppage at Coimbatore Junction.
Train No. 13352 Alappuzha-Dhanbad Express will be diverted via Podanur-Irugur and will skip Coimbatore Junction. It will have an alternative stoppage at Podanur Junction, arriving at 12.15 pm and departing at 12.20 pm.
Train No. 16378 Ernakulam-Bengaluru Intercity Express will also run via Podanur-Irugur, skipping Coimbatore Junction. It will stop at Podanur Junction from 12.47 pm to 12.50 pm.
Train No. 22644 Patna-Ernakulam Bi-Weekly Express will operate via Irugur-Podanur instead of its regular route and will skip Coimbatore Junction. It will have an alternative stoppage at Podanur Junction from 10.32 am to 10.35 am.
Train No. 22504 Dibrugarh-Kanniyakumari Vivek Express will also be diverted via Irugur-Podanur and will skip Coimbatore Junction. The train will stop at Podanur Junction from 10.47 am to 10.50 am.
Train No. 15608 Silchar-Thiruvananthapuram Weekly Express will run via Irugur-Podanur, skipping Coimbatore Junction, with an alternative stoppage at Podanur Junction from 11.30 am to 11.35 am.
Train No. 12626 New Delhi-Thiruvananthapuram Kerala Express will similarly be diverted via Irugur-Podanur and will skip Coimbatore Junction. It will have an alternative stoppage at Podanur Junction from 12.30 pm to 12.35 pm.
