Coimbatore Corporation Grievance Day Meeting Receives 86 Petitions from Public

Coimbatore: The people's grievance day meeting held at the Coimbatore Corporation main office received 86 petitions from the public, with Mayor Ranganayaki Ramachandran presiding and Corporation Commissioner Katta Ravi Teja, IAS, present.

The meeting took place today (22.09.2026) at the Coimbatore Corporation main office, chaired by Mayor Ranganayaki Ramachandran in the presence of Commissioner Katta Ravi Teja.

During the meeting, the public submitted 86 petitions covering a range of issues including birth and death certificates, road facilities, streetlights, drinking water supply, underground drainage, profession tax, property tax, new drinking water connection name transfers, and encroachment removal. After receiving these petitions, Mayor Ranganayaki instructed the concerned officials to take immediate action on them.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Mayor R Vetriselvan, Deputy Commissioner T Kumaresan, Chief City Engineer Vijayakumar, City Health Officer Dr Subash Gandhi, Town Planning Officer Damodharan, City Education Officer Gunasekaran (in-charge), Assistant Commissioners Prakash (Administration), Dakshinamurthy (East), Narmadha (West), Mohanasundari (North), Ganesan (Central), and Magesh Kanagaraj (Revenue and South, in-charge), along with executive engineers, assistant executive engineers, zonal health officers, assistant engineers, health inspectors, and several other Corporation officials.
