Power Outage Announced for Several Areas in Coimbatore on September 25

The Tamil Nadu Electricity Board has announced power cuts in various parts of Coimbatore on September 25 due to monthly maintenance work at four substations: Kuniyamuthur, Mylampatti, Anna University, and Angalakurichi.


Coimbatore: The Tamil Nadu Electricity Board (TNEB) has announced power outages in several areas of Coimbatore on Monday, September 25, due to scheduled monthly maintenance work at four substations. The affected substations are Kuniyamuthur, Mylampatti, Anna University, and Angalakurichi. The power cut will be in effect from 9 AM to 4 PM.

Areas served by the Kuniyamuthur substation that will experience power interruption include Kuniyamuthur, parts of Sundarapuram, Kovai Pudur, Puttuvikki, Narasimhapuram, and parts of Sundakkamuthur.

In the Mylampatti substation service area, power will be cut off in Karaiyampalayam, Chinniyampalayam, Mylampatti, R.G. Pudur, Kaikolampalayam, Venkittapuram, Vellanaipatty, and Andakkapalayam.

The Anna University substation power cut will affect Kalveerampalayam, Marudamalai Road, IOB Colony, Anna University campus, areas surrounding Marudamalai Temple, Tata Nagar, Anna Nagar, Lakshmi Nagar, Dansa Nagar, Navavoor Division, Kalpana Nagar, Kuriya Garden, Golden Nagar, Maruda Nagar, Chinmaya Nagar, Indira Nagar, G.K.S. Avenue, Subramaniam Nagar, and Bommanampalayam.

For the Angalakurichi substation, the affected areas include Angalakurichi, Pongaliyur, Sathumadai, Topslip, Parambikulam, Somanthuraichithur, N.M. Sungam, Aliyar, Nanjanaickanur, Kottur, Thensangampalayam, Kambalapatti, and Ceylon Colony.

Residents and businesses in these areas are advised to plan accordingly for the power interruption. The TNEB has stated that the maintenance work is necessary to ensure the continued reliability of the power supply in the region.
