Power Outage Scheduled for Kuniyamuthur, Mylampatti, and Malayadipalaiyam Areas Tomorrow

Tangedco announces power cuts in Kuniyamuthur, Mylampatti, and Malayadipalaiyam areas on July 24 from 9 AM to 4 PM due to maintenance work at substations. Several localities will be affected.


Coimbatore: The Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation (Tangedco) has announced power outages in various parts of Coimbatore district on July 24, 2023. The power cuts are due to scheduled maintenance work at multiple substations in the region.

According to the announcement, the following areas will experience power cuts from 9 AM to 4 PM on Monday:

Mylampatti Substation Area:

Karaiyampalayam, Chinniyampalayam, Mylampatti, R.G.Pudhur, Kaikolampalayam, Venkittapuram, Vellanaipalayam, Andakkapalayam, and parts of Goldwins and SIDCO.

Kuniyamuthur Substation Area:

Kuniyamuthur, Sundarapuram area, Kovaipudur, and Puttuvikki.

Malayadipalaiyam Substation Area:

Malayadipalaiyam, P.G.Palayam, Kumarapalayam, Malapalayam, Vadavedampatti, Vadambacheri, and Manthiripalayam.

Tangedco officials have advised residents and businesses in these areas to plan accordingly and be prepared for the power interruption. Essential services and institutions in the affected areas are requested to make necessary arrangements to manage their operations during the outage period.

The power utility company has stated that the maintenance work is crucial for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of the power distribution network. They have apologized for any inconvenience caused and assured that power supply will be restored as soon as the maintenance work is completed.
