National Consumer Day Celebrations Competition in Coimbatore

Coimbatore District Collector Kranthi Kumar Pati distributed certificates of appreciation and shields to the winners of various competitions held on the occasion of National Consumer Day and World Consumer Rights Day at the Collectorate in Coimbatore.


Coimbatore: Certificates of appreciation were presented to the winners of the National Consumer Day function competition at the Coimbatore District Collectorate.

Coimbatore District Collector Kranthi kumar Pati presided over the National Consumer Day celebrations and World Consumer Rights Day celebrations on behalf of the Department of Food and Consumer Protection at the Collectorate in Coimbatore.

District Revenue Officer Leela Alex, District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission Chairman Thangavel, Director General Bureau of Indian Standards Gopinath, Food Safety and Drug Administration Designated Officer Tamilselvan, District Supply Officer Gunasekaran and other officials were present on the occasion.



On this occasion, prizes were distributed to the school and college students who won essay competitions, poetry competitions, painting competitions on consumer awareness, etc. The district collector also distributed prize trophies to the best citizen consumer forums.

Speaking on the occasion, the District Collector said that there is a quality certificate for each item. Has that quality certificate been obtained? He said he should be aware of this and buy goods.
