Two persons, including a milk vendor, was killed in an accident in Perur as two-wheelers collided head-on and the police have launched an investigation in the case
Coimbatore: two people were killed in a road accident in Perur region in Coimbatore.
Nagaraj is a milk vendor from Alanthurai in Coimbatore. He had been to daily customers' houses in Perur last evening to lend milk and was back home in his two-wheeler. Rajesh, who was riding a two-wheeler with two friends, collided head to head with Nagaraj's vehicle on Madhampatti to Selvapuram road near Perur on Siruvani Road.
Nagaraj, who was seriously injured in the attack, died on the spot. Rajesh and his friend, who was critically injured, were rescued by passersby and sent to Coimbatore Government hospital. Rajesh, who was under intensive care succumbed to his injuries this morning at 3 am, while the other is still in ICU.
Perur police have registered a case in this regard and are investigating.
