Coimbatore: A salon owner was hacked to death at 1 am on Sunday night by two persons in Coimbatore. The Selvapuram police have arrested two persons, including a Hindu Munnani functionary in connection with the murder.
Sasikumar, (35), son of Palaniswami, from Telugupalayam, Selvapuram in Coimbatore was hacked to death by two people at midnight. Sasikumar owns a salon in the same area and also has a business-related in finance.
Reportedly, two persons who approached Sasikumar at his house at 1 am last night, summoned him outside, hacked him to death, and escaped. The family hearing his cries for help, where shocked to find him dead and informed the Selvapuram Police
Sasikumar's body was recovered and sent to Coimbatore government hospital for post mortem. The CCTV footage was recovered. An investigation was initiated and two prominent Hindu figures Ramji and Elangovan from Selvapuram in connection with the murder were nabbed.
The preliminary investigations revealed that they have both been regularly visiting Sasikumar's salon and Sasikumar was murdered due to a dispute over financial transactions. Subsequently, the police arrested the duo and are investigating.
