Coimbatore: The Hindu Munnani State President, Kadeswara Subramaniam stated that the Chief Minister has been insulting the students in TN misjudging their ability to face NEET.
The Vice Chancellors Conference was held at the Bharathiar University in Coimbatore. The Chief Minister MK Stalin addressed the conference through video conferencing. Kadeswara Subramaniam, the State President of Hindu Munnani, taking on the CM’s address at the conference, stated that the CM was insulting students of TN misjudging their ability to face NEET.
Highlight CM Stalin’s point, where he stated that education should be listed under the State Government, and the Centre should not show their narrow mindedness here, Kadeswara stated that this was a funny comment.
He stated that poet Bharathi naming Tamil Nadu as the best state in education was a situation that prevailed in the past, but Tamils were revered even before the growth of educational institutions, across the country. It was at the forefront of the judiciary, parliament, university, medical and space research that Tamil had a special respect everywhere.
He added that the CM, in support of the private medical institutions was insulting the students here stating they cannot face NEET and Tamil Nadu is the only state condemning NEET and the New Education Policy. “TN has vouched to object any scheme of the Centre implemented for the welfare of the public.” He said.
He stated that the New Education Policy introduced by the Central Government was not implemented by politicians but and recommended by academics. Academicians are of the opinion that Indian students can progress to world standards.
Kadeswara stated that Stalin should analyse if the current syllabus followed by the State Government is sufficient for the modern level of education with the academicians. He questioned, if it was right to use education, which is a student’s ray of hope, as a mere tool to fetch just jobs, and stated that parents should also realize this.
Kadeswara wanted an explanation to why Stalin wanted to convey when he used the term ‘narrow-mindedness’.
