Thirty-three lakhs tax collected in Coimbatore in single day on Sunday

The Corporation officials stated that Rs 33 lakhs tax has been collected in the city on Sunday, 6th March at 21 centres.


Coimbatore: An amount of Rs 33 lakhs tax has been collected in the city on Sunday, 6th March at 21 centres.

Corporation officials said that 21 tax collection centres in the Corporation collected Rs 33 lakh in taxes yesterday. For the period upto the second half-year of the current financial year 2021-22, people are paying property tax, water charges, income tax, and vacancy tax to the Corporation.

21 Corporation Tax Collection Centres are functioning from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm every day, including Sunday till 31st March. Accordingly, corporation officials said they collected Rs 33 lakh in all at the 21 tax collection centres yesterday. Corporation officials said, "From 9:00 am to 5:00 pm yesterday, Sunday, in the Corporation, the public has paid Rs 33 lakh in all categories like property tax, drinking water tax, vacancy tax.

The taxes can also be paid in the municipal administration website, tnurbanepay.tn.gov.in.
