ICAI(SIRC) help poor students to get CA coaching; 38 students clear December exams

Coimbatore: As many as 38 CA aspirants cleared the exams held in December, trained by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India(ICAI), Southern India Regional Council(SIRC), which has been helping the poor and the needy.

ICAI(SIRC) conducts special training courses at a low cost for students from poor and middle-class families to prepare and appear for the examination. Thirty-eight students who attended the exams in December with the training course conducted on behalf of the council have passed the CA Foundation examination.

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India(ICAI), Southern India Regional Council(SIRC) Past Chairman, Jalapathi said, “Three levels of examinations to be cleared for a Chartered Accountant Education includes Foundation, Intermediate, Final, which can be called 'CA'.  Special training courses are conducted on behalf of ICAI(SIRC) at a much lower cost than the fee levied for training courses conducted on behalf of private institutions.”

This has given many students from poor and middle-class families the opportunity to prepare themselves for the Chartered Accountant Examinations. SIRC is a division of ICAI.

Thirty-eight students who participated in the 'CA' Foundation examination held in December in a training course conducted by ICAI(SIRC) have passed. So far, classes have been conducted online due to corona infection.

ICAI(SIRC) Past Chairman, Jalapathi stated that the training courses are conducted in branch offices in 12 districts including Chennai. Adding that there is an increasing awareness among rural students about the importance of CA studies, he said that in collaboration with the Government of Tamil Nadu, a special training course is being conducted to create awareness among the students of Government Schools about Chartered Accountant education.

It may be noted that students who complete CA will get high-paying employment opportunities immediately.
