Coimbatore: District Level competitions were held for the Women in the city, ahead of the International Women’s Day.
As International Women's Day is to be celebrated on March 8, district level competitions are being planned on behalf of the Tamil Nadu State Rural Livelihoods Movement.
As part of this, women's groups in 12 unions in the Coimbatore district participated in Rangoli, speech and painting competitions held three days ago.
Further, contests between the top scorers in each Union were held at the District Collectorate, Coimbatore, today.
In line with the topic, participants created rangolis using vegetables and grains.
The top performers will participate in the state level competitions in Chennai tomorrow, March 6.
