Unable to kick the habit of consuming alcohol despite treatment, a 37 year old man ended his life by hanging at his residence near RG Pudhur here on Monday.
According to police, the deceased P.Kannan was reportedly living with his family at SST Mills quarters in RG pudhur. He was a drunkard and was unable to quit despite being treated for the same by a private hospital. The treatment was not proving effective as he continued to drink and this added to his frustration.
A case has been registered with the Pelamedu police.
