Coimbatore: The All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) won at the Vellalore Town Panchayat, grabbing 8 out of 15 Wards in the recently-concluded Urban Local Body elections.
Vote counting for the recently-held Urban Local Body elections began at 8 am on Tuesday in Coimbatore and across Tamil Nadu. The counting is underway and the results are being announced immediately after each phase, as per the orders of the Election Commission.
DMK had been leading thus far in the election across the State and AIADMK’s victory in the Vellalore Town Panchayat came as a surprise to people.
