Sangeetha Karthik Kannan announced as 65th Ward candidate of AIADMK ally Tamil Maanila Congress

The Tamil Maanila Congress is contesting in the 65th Ward, Singanallur, in Coimbatore.


Coimbatore: The AIADMK and the Tamil Maanila Congress are all set to contest as allies in the 100 Wards in Coimbatore, in the urban local body elections.



The Tamil Maanila Congress is contesting in the 65th Ward, Singanallur, in Coimbatore for which Sangeetha Karthik Kannan has been declared as the Ward candidate. The inaugural function for the candidature was held at the District office of the Tamil Maanila Congress.



Coimbatore District Chairman V V Vasan told reporters that Sangeetha Karthik Kannan is contesting from the 65th Ward, Singanallur, in Coimbatore. He stated that the AIADMK had asked for 11 Wards and only 1 Ward had been allotted but they would accept it. He also added that they would work harder and make the candidate win, and also work to make AIADMK win. He highlighted that AIADMK will contest under the 'double leaf' symbol.
