Coimbatore: Rotaract Club of Coimbatore Texcity members celebrated Pongal festival by organizing a Samathuva Pongal in the slum area in Kavundampalayam on Friday.
The festival was celebrated with the village people in the slum area near Gounder Mills in Kavundampalayam. Thirty families and 40 children participated in all the activities conducted as part of the celebrations. Kishore Babu and volunteers from Child Line Organisation was present at the celebration.
Varalakshmi President, Thanghapantieyaan Club Advisor spearhead the celebration and made the event very successful.
