A 21-year-old male youth is arrested under POCSO in Pollachi for raping a 16-year-old girl.
Coimbatore: Arun, a 21-year-old youth from Vaniyambadi, is working with a girl from Pollachi Nagar area. The two have been acquainted through Instagram for the past three years.
The girl's mother has lodged a complaint with the West police station that the girl was missing on the 15th. Sub Inspector Murali and police led by Western Police Inspector Aranganayaki were investigating the missing girl’s case on the orders of Pollachi Deputy Superintendent Selvi Tamilmani.
The investigation revealed that Arun had abducted the girl. The Vaniyambadi police interrogated Arun and it was revealed that he kidnapped the girl.
The girl's mother lodged a complaint and male youth was arrested under the POCSO Act. He was produced in court and remanded in custody.
