Monthly grievance redressal meeting resumes in Pollachi, to be held on 15th December

The monthly grievance meeting where the farmers put forth their issues and seek solutions, which were held online due to the pandemic, resumes after two years gap


Pollachi: Monthly grievance meeting has resumed in Pollachi and the next meeting is scheduled to be held on 15th December, Wednesday.

Grievance meetings are held monthly in Pollachi to address the grievance of the farmers in areas under the Pollachi revenue division level at the Sub-Collectorate. The meeting is usually attended by all government officials and farmers belonging to Pollachi City, North, South, Anaimalai, and Kinathukadavu Unions will participate and put forth their issues.

The meetings served as a great benefit due to immediate resolutions. However, meetings were postponed due to the Covid19 curfew and were held online at the respective Union Agricultural Department office.

With the pandemic under control presently, the government has directed upon resuming the farmers' Grievance Redressals. A meeting is now scheduled for 15th December, Wednesday. The Revenue Officials have stated, “The farmers' grievance meeting for the month of December in Pollachi Revenue Division will be held at 10 am on the 15th under the chairmanship of The Sub Collector. Farmers can benefit by making demands related to agriculture."
