886 kg of gutka seized in Coimbatore; One arrested for storing the banned substance

After RS Puram police received a tip off, police led by Sub-Inspector Sukumaran conducted a raid on the godown. 886 kg of the banned substance Gutka; and products that were stored in godown were seized. One arrested in this connection.


Coimbatore: 886 kg of Gutka was found stored in godown in Coimbatore. The police acted swiftly and took action by arresting one man in connection with storing the banned substance.

Coimbatore Lawley Road RS Puram area has been found to be stockpiling banned Gutka items in a godown. After RS Puram police received a tip off, police led by Sub-Inspector Sukumaran conducted a raid on the godown. 886 kg of Gutka that was stored in godown was seized after it was revealed that it contained banned Gutka products. Ramachandran, (38), of Chettiar Road, Appipalayam, Karur District, was arrested in connection with the incident.
