Special Court sentences POCSO accused to 20 years rigorous imprisonment

Coimbatore: Coimbatore's POCSO Special Court sentenced a man who had been booked under POCSO to 20 years in prison, on Monday.

Nagamuthu (25) of Coimbatore who was a painter was arrested in 2019 by the Podanur police for allegedly sexually abusing a minor girl. The POCSO case was being heard in a special court, with advocate Rashida appearing on behalf of the government. Special Judge Kulasekaran sentenced Nagamuthu to 20 years of rigorous imprisonment and a fine of Rs. 10,000.
